Examines literature for children, significant authors and illustrators, creative book activities, and aids in the selection and evaluation of literature for children of all social, emotional, developmental, and cultural backgrounds. A variety of genres will be explored with emphasis given to non-fiction and historical fiction literature. An interdisciplinary approach to the study of literature will be used. This course will include a lab which will meet outside of class during a specific time. Prerequisite: EDUC 210. EDUC 222 is strongly recommended.
