An introduction to major works and literary figures who have shaped the political and cultural landscape of Latin America. This course will examine the way that a person's vision of social change has entered into political discourse and the role that vocation plays in that interaction. Special attention will be given to the ways that "others" have been helped. Topics such as liberation theology and authors such as MenchĂș Tum and Freire will be studi ed.
