A course that focuses both on the theory and practice of management skills that a special events planner should possess. Assisted by the instructor and guest speakers, students have the opportunity to apply their knowledge in a real world situation. This course presents a systemic method of planning, organizing, monitoring, adjusting, and evaluating activities to achieve the objectives. A comprehensive business plan will be developed during the course. Pre: MGMT 1000, TIM 1010, and instructor's consent.
