This is a course in the fundamentals of modern programming. It is meant to be a first programming course for students without a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or as a refresher course for computer professionals who have an interest in learning about modern programming languages and techniques. The course will introduce prospective MSIS students to the problem-solving and programming skills needed to succeed in a modern information technology graduate programs. IS 5050 is an intensive hands-on experience that will require most students to dedicate significant amounts of time to the weekly assignments. Pre: CSCI 1011 or CSCI 1041 or consent. Graduate standing.
