A historical, political, and sociological study of the treatment of women and minority groups within the civil and criminal justice systems in the United States. The course places special emphasis on historical stereotypes of, and changing perspectives toward, women and minorities. Topics range from racial and sexual discrimination to date rape. Pre: WRI 1200 and any introductory sociology course.
