This course introduces the fundamental principles of solar energy and photovoltaic systems design. It includes the design of a safe, code-compliant photovoltaic system and preparation of permit-quality technical drawings. The course provides the skills suitable for a supervised, entry level position in the photovoltaic industry, as specified by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP). Pre: ENVS 2000, MATH 1115, or MATH 1130, or permission of the instructor.
