This course examines what the effective teacher is like as a person, focusing on the importance of specific characteristics and behaviors identified with the Aloha Spirit such as caring, fairness and respect, social interactions with students, promotion of enthusiasm and motivation for learning, attitudes toward the teaching profession, and reflective practice. The primary focus of the course is on teacher effectiveness and how to assess and reflect on the qualities of teacher performance with regard to student learning. Pre: None.
