A study of Western concert dance from the 19th century to the present. Studiobased exercises in modern dance technique and composition are combined with readings, video viewings, and lecture/discussion to provide a physical, conceptual, and historical understanding of dance as a performing art form. Not open to those who have had Theatre 160. Prerequisite: none. WOMACK.
