Prerequisite: Psych 111 This class is designed to help you gain a basic understanding of the history, research methods, classifi cation, assessment, diagnosis, causes (etiology), course, prognosis, and treatment of the mental disorders. Given that there is suffi cient literature to warrent a separate course on each disorder, our focus will necessarily be limited to gaining a general understanding of the current issues being faced by mental health professionals with respect to the aforementioned overview. (Fall, Winter, Spring)
