Prerequisite: Successful completion of Music 374B. Students meet in a seminar situation; that is, one meeting per week in which assignments are made and student work (the fulfi llment of assignments) is presented to the class aurally and in writing. Faculty guided studies, i.e., the assignments and reports, are collected in a notebook that the student will retain as a reference source. Concentration is on fundamental and advanced concepts of percussion playing and various approaches to teaching these concepts. Focus is kept on success in the private teaching studio.
