Prerequisite: ME 132A or ME 132B, ME 202 This course focuses on the practical aspects of mechanical design and teaches concepts such as the integration of engineering analysis and design, the strategic use of CAD in making design decisions, the effective use of vendor off-the-shelf mechanical components, and manufacturing process considerations in design. The concepts are taught in the context of small design projects where students design and build mechanical devices throughout the semester. (Fall, Winter, Spring)
