Prerequisite: DANCE 240 or DANCE 241 or DANCE 290 Introduction to human anatomy and kinesiology consisting of the study of human movement specifi c to dance, with emphasis on the anatomical principles and the laws of physics as they apply to dance technique and performance from the hip to the head. Structural and neuromuscular analysis including individual analysis of alignment, muscular imbalances, body types, conditioning needs, injury prevention, nutrition, somatics and movement behavior.
