Prerequisite: CompE 340 and CompE 350 Advanced digital design concepts including multi-clock domain designs, meta-stability, signal integrity and functional verifi cation of HDL models. VLSI concepts including the translation of HDL to gates to transistors and then to functional silicon. CMOS transistor concepts with special attention to the digital CMOS silicon manufacturing process. Formal validation of silicon components. (Fall)
