Fee: $25.00 Prerequisite: BIO 208 An in-depth examination of riparian ecology. Emphasis is placed on stream channel morphology, function and riparian plant succession. Assessment methods of important physical and biotic stream infl uences, including water chemistry, aquatic insects and other life forms is conducted. Links to terrestrial and riparian components of applicable ecosystems will be investigated. The political issues that impinge on water issues are explored. (See teaching schedule)
