4898. Professional and Technical Writing Internship. Supervised work-and-learning experiences in professional communication under the direction of a faculty member and an employee of a participating firm. Internship encompasses 10 to 20 hours of student time each week. Enrollment is contingent upon the availability of internships. Students are selected on the basis of their current resume, brief statement of interest, and faculty recommendations. May be repeated with the approval of the department chairperson. Prereq.: ENGL 3742 or ENGL 3743 with grade "C" or better. 1-3 s.h.
