Prerequisite: Texas Success Initiative complete in Reading and Math., or Program Coordinator approval. Study of the background and application of quality concepts. Topics include team skills, quality tools, statistics, and economics and continuous improvement. Quality as it affects the bottom line will be emphasized through the following factors: Deming's theories; customer/ supplier relationships; statistical methods; ISO relationships. Theory and application of quality control with importance of the bottom line will be the focus of this course.
