Description:
Prerequisite: Texas Success Initiative complete in Reading and Writing. A one-semester course that includes structure and function of the human integumentary, musculoskeletal, neuroendocrine, circulatory, respiratory, digestive, urinary, and reproductive systems. Laboratory is coordinated with the lecture and includes the use of preserved specimens, along with histological slide preparations, anatomical charts and models. This course is designed for the allied health student who needs a single semester of Human Anatomy and Physiology. This course will not substitute for BIOL 2401 or as a prerequisite for BIOL 2402. Successful completion of a freshman Lab Science Course or the successful completion of 12 hours of college level coursework is recommended before enrollment.
