Prerequisites: Texas Success Initiative complete in Reading and Writing. Students should be familiar with the PC keyboard. Computer terminology, hardware, software, operating systems, and information systems relating to the business environment. The main focus of this course is on business applications of software, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation graphics, and business-oriented utilization of the Internet. A student may receive credit by passing a Departmental Exam for this course. NOTE: No Credit if COSC 1301 taken.
