American citizens have a multitude of activities through which they can choose to be politically active. This course surveys the various activities in which one may engage to be political active and then focuses on two particular areas of interest - voting and lobbying. Considered are who votes, who does not and the implications of low voter turnout for a robust democracy. The implications of lobbying for a representative democracy are examined.
