NSCI 290 - Biometrics and Advanced Writing

A course designed as an advanced level presentation of statistics and scientific writing for science majors. The class will consist of 2 hours of lecture/discussion and one 2-hour lab per week. It is meant to provide students with skills in statistical analysis and writing that is of a more advanced level than is presented in NSCI 190 and to prepare them for research projects in their upper level science courses. In addition, it will provide the student with research practice during their second year in science and bridge the gap in the capstone sequence between NSCI 190 and NSCI 494. Required for all second year science students. Prerequisites: NSCI 190, BIOL 130. Offered Spring Semester.
