NSCI 345 - Issues in Medicine and the Environment

An exploration of moral, ethical, and environmental problems confronting the practice of medicine today. Topics include, but are not limited to; patient autonomy, euthanasia, abortion, allocation of resources, and environmental concerns. The various issues regarding each problem will be identified as well as identifying the various governmental and non-governmental agencies that become involved in the resolution of the problem. This course will also include a service related project. Prerequisites: NSCI 120, NSCI 190, and consent of the instructor. Offered every other Fall semester.
