This course is designed to enable students to gain insight and tools for effective career advancement and management. Issues of appropriate occupational choices: self-assessment of interests, values and abilities; understanding the steps in career decision making, as well as ownership of employability skills needed to obtain and keep a career-track position, will shape specific learning objectives. The culminating project of the course will require students to identify, secure, and prepare for a career-building internship. Students should take this course the semester prior to their first internship experience. Prerequisites: COMM 101 and COMM 102.
