A study of the principal orders of insects, their structure, habits, distribution, and economic importance to man. Students will learn the various methods of collecting, identifying, and preserving insects. This learning experience may require the students to complete a research experience that could lead to a capstone experience in science. The course may be completed through portfolio building. Prerequisites: NSCI 120, NSCI 190, BIOL 224. Offered on demand.
