An introduction to the structure and function of animals, including a survey of the natural history of the important phyla. This learning experience is designed to foster a basic understanding of the concepts of biology as they relate to animals. Students are required to develop a basic research project and prepare a research paper on a topic relating to animals. Required of all Biology and Environmental science majors and students electing to minor in either. Offered every fall semester. Prerequisite: BIOL 130. Laboratory fee $50.
