Why should I bother? Are humans inherently good (or evil)? Am I free to choose my life's course? Does god exist? Is suicide always wrong? Some questions are easier to answer than others. This course offers students a chance to take on some of the really tough and most interesting ones. The course topic will change in response to student and instructor interest. The topic for a given semester might be religious philosophies, existentialism, eastern philosophy, bio-medical ethics, personal identity, philosophy and literature, or postmodernism.
