This class is taught as an intensive experience 10-day course either in May session on the campus or as an addendum to the Outward Bound/Immersive Semester program in the fall. It is a course in emergency medical care that addresses the issues of long-term patient care, backcountry rescue techniques, and survival skills. This is a profession-focused course for those individuals who will be working with groups in backcountry settings. Participants who successfully complete the course will be certified in Wilderness First Responder and C.P.R.
