This course integrates psychological principles with strategies for effective instruction. The knowledge base permeating good teaching will be explored by focusing on the childhood and adolescent development as espoused in the theories of Piaget, Erickson and Kohlberg; behavior, cognitive and social learning theories; children with exceptional abilities and intelligence testing.
