This course covers techniques for inventorying the vegetation and natural features of an area as well as specific parameters and or items of interest. Topics include: data collection, sampling methods, sampling layouts as well as goal analysis and comparisons. Field work will utilize handheld computers and most of the analysis and comparisons will be completed on software developed by the Forest Service.
