In Positive Psychology, the focus is on building personal strengths and resilience, instead of dwelling on pathology. The specific characteristics of people with positive outlooks will be identified, along with strategies for cultivating and experiencing authentic happiness and other positive emotional states. This course will examine the theoretical basis behind the positive psychology movement, the extensive research in support of the model, and the many applications of positive psychology to everyday life.
