Consideration is given to some important conceptsd in physical chemistry including the laws of thermodynamics, chemical kinetics, chemical equilibrium, electrochemistry, phase equilibria and the phase rule, atomic and molecular structure. Three lecture hours per week. Prerequisite: "C" grade or better in CHEM 202 and CHEM 212 and MATH109 or the equivalent.
