Topics include: physical storage, conceptual and external views, and implementation issues regarding traditional file manipulation as well as database. Comparison of network, hierarchical and Relation databases with particular emphasis on the Entity- Relationship model and SQL query language. Prerequisites: CIS 202 and either CIS 320 or CIS 330 or permission of instructor.
