Description:
Prerequisite: ENGL 306. ENGL 407 highly recommended. Offers opportunity through experiential learning to apply English skills and learn about careers in business and technical writing or other non-teaching fi elds. Internship consists of placement with a business or governmental agency interested in utilizing the liberal arts background and writing skills obtained through English coursework. Credit hours vary according to the number of hours a week and the number of weeks in the internship. Interns must have junior or senior standing, a 3.0 minimum average in English courses, and approval of department chairperson. Grading on Pass/Fail basis. May be taken twice for credit, but for no more than 12 hours total.
