Three hours lecture/participation. Prerequisites: MSTD 130 and COMM 230, or permission of instructor. Principles and methods of training clients in the improvement of communication skills in such areas as public speaking, group discussion and listening. Applied component of the course provides supervised consultation and tutoring experience. May be repeated once for undergraduate credit. Students who have previously received credit for SPCH 400 may receive only three hours of credit for COMM 406.
