Emphasizes various traditional anthropological concerns as these are illuminated by a study of the position and behavior of women in traditional and modern societies. Topics will include: the "place" ofwomen in the family, kinship, network, political structure and economic structure. An exploration of the woman in the religious systems will also be made.
