Purchasing Management will reflect the current issues, needs and trends in the field of purchasing management. The course will provide an overview of the role of the purchasing officer. Purchasing officers are responsible for the procurement of goods and materials for use in resale and manufacturing of goods and/ or raw materials. Purchasing officers are found in most small and large businesses; e.g., manufacturing plants, hospitals, educational institutions, and government offices.
