The purpose of the course will be to investigate the functions of management in terms of operating and financing sport facilities. Students will gain a better understanding of what facility management is all about by examining the planning, financing, construction and operations of public and private arenas, recreational facilities, and stadiums. Facility maintenance, supervision, scheduling, planning, and renovation will be prime topics of discussion and presentation. (Offered fall term) Recommended prerequisite: BU 218 Principles of Sport Management or permission of instructor.
