Students will build upon basic principles learned in BU 112 and continue their study of business management. This course will examine business management including business ethics, taxes, liability, insurance, horse sales, budgeting, financial planning and customer relations as they relate specifically to small businesses in the horse industry. The completion of a formal business plan is required. (Offered fall term) Required prerequisites: BU 112 Business Operations for Farm and Stable Owners.
