Examines distinct verbal and nonverbal vocabularies of men and women that affect the way people interact in education, politics, marriage, family, business, and broadcasting. Consideration given to how sex affects credibility or status in discussion, debate, mass media portraits, and other realms of discourse. ( LA) Prerequisite: SoS or 3 s.h. COMM.
