3 s.h. Theory and practice in the design and execution of lighting for stage productions. Covers basic techniques of drafting and executing light plots in proscenium and flexible spaces as well as basic concepts of electricity and optics of lighting instruments. Emphasis placed on practical problem-solving for lighting plays and events staged in proscenium and flexible theatre spaces. ( LA, CPA) Prerequisites: THTR 178 and THTR 220.
