3 s.h. Survey of fundamental principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, electricity and magnetism, atomic and subatomic physics as they apply to the harvest, production and transmission of energy and the impact of our energy consumption. Historical trends and current tendencies in energy production and consumption will be reviewed. Viability and promise of alternative energy sources will be discussed.
