3 s.h. This course will cover the creative process of developing dances from practical as well as theoretical perspectives. Students will be able to create comprehensive dance statements through understanding the use of space, time, and the dynamics of movement. The effective use of props, costuming, sets, lighting and music as elements in choreographic design will be a focus. This course is designed for students in the dance minor program. Prerequisites: SoS; PHED 131 or PHED 132 or PHED 136 or PHED 139.
