4 s.h. An introduction to the fundamentals of computer language programming using a contemporary language implementation, (like C++ or Java). Topics include primitive data types, statements, input and output, control structures, arrays, lists and objects (classes) as well as pointers and structs, as provided by the language. This course has a lab component and students write a number of programs with applications taken from mathematics, science and business. Prerequisite: MATH 105. ( LA)
