3 s.h. Directed research course which will culminate in a lengthy paper based on primary and secondary sources. Registration is only by permission and invitation of the instructor. At the end of the semester, the student will be examined by a committee of three faculty. This course is not open to graduate students and may be substituted for the historiography requirement if approved by the History Department. Prerequisite: permission of instructor
