3 s.h. The purpose of this class is to acquaint the student with the processes and issues regarding development of government policy affecting consumers and families. Various viewpoints, including consumer, public, business, and managerial are explored. Emphasis is placed on evaluating both the economic and social impacts of government policies designed to help consumers. ( LA) Prerequisites: 3 s.h. of ECON, CONS 150 or 3 s.h. of social science.
