3 s.h. Course examines the computer-quantitative methods for analyzing environmental data from earth-oriented satellites. Applications in such diverse areas as agriculture, land use, urban and rural planning, geology, and resource management are examined. A "hands-on"approach using satellite data composes a significant part of the course. ( LA) Prerequisites: JrS and GEOG 245 or 200-level course in one of the following areas: statistics, computer science, physics, biology, earth science, planning, or field work.
