3 s.h. This course focuses on play as the activity of childhood through which children develop socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically. Theories of play are studied, along with influence of play on a child's development. A life span perspective is taken to examine the role of play and playful learning within our culture. ( LA) Prerequisites: CHLD 170, or PSYC 240 or EPSY 240.
