3 s.h. This course deals with the physical setting, the cultural patterns, and the changing political and economic geography of Asia (excluding Russia). Various problems and potentials will be examined in an attempt toward a more basic understanding of the processes of change that are radically transforming the Asian scene. Practice in writing analytical reports on various geographic patterns within the region is stressed. ( LA, HO2, WS2) Prerequisite: SoS or GEOG 100.
