An exploration of the various regions of Anglo-America (Canada and the United States) with emphasis on the interrelationship of human and natural resources, and the development of land use and settlement patterns. Special emphasis on planning problems such as urbanization, population, and environmental impact. Provides students with an undertanding of the historical development and settlement of the American landscape. Practice in writing analytical reports centered on maps displaying current and historical patterns is emphasized. ( LA, S2, WS2) Prerequisite: SoS or GEOG 100.
