From the "Cronicas" of the Spanish conquerers in the 15th and 16thcenturies to the "Nuevo Periodismo" of today, non-fictional narrativeshave played a principal role in the history of Spanish America and in the shaping and development of its culture and societies. This course will explore the varieties of non-fictional narratives developed in the region, their role in history, as well their literary value. Conducted entirely in Spanish.
