3 s.h. Studies the multiple assessment approaches used in education to meet varied individual, group, and program needs, focusing on N-12 settings. Special attention is given to examining the quality of these approaches using the criteria of reliability, validity, and practicality. Coverage includes traditional teacher-made tests, feedback and error analysis strategies, standardized tests, non-traditional assessment alternatives, and an examination of assessment instruments, procedures, and accommodations used to meet the needs of students with disabilities.
